Samuel E. Castillo
Samuel E. Castillo is a certified and licensed Physician Assistant and Athletic Trainer with advanced training in orthopedics, sports medicine, and rehabilitative care. He earned his Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from St. Francis University and holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Physician Assistant Studies and Athletic Training with a minor in Exercise Science. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, he is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse populations.
His professional experience includes his current role at South Miami Walk-In Orthopedics, where he evaluates and manages musculoskeletal disorders, performs ultrasound-guided diagnostic and interventional procedures, and coordinates comprehensive treatment plans. Previously, he first-assisted in orthopedic surgery with a focus on shoulders, knees, and hips, while also providing intra-articular injections, joint aspirations, and postoperative patient care.
He is the founder of Castle Athletics & Recovery, where he treats musculoskeletal injuries with a conservative approach and develops individualized rehabilitation programs and integrates evidence-based recovery modalities to optimize patient outcomes.
He maintains multiple advanced certifications, including Dry Needling Levels 1 and 2, Functional Movement Systems, and Basic, Advanced Cardiovascular, and Pediatric Life Support.
His clinical expertise is complemented by a strong foundation in athletic training and rehabilitation, gained through his work with rehabilitation clinics, high school and collegiate athletic programs. Through his combined background in medicine and sports science, he consistently demonstrates a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to patient care, emphasizing both functional recovery and long-term musculoskeletal health.
